Max and Hailey opening their package from Aunt Bikki, Uncle Rara, and Kenzie

We woke up a little late this morning, so we only had a half an hour to get ready for church. But we actually made it on time. Hailey went to her new class today. They moved her up to the four year old preschool class. They used to move all the kids to the next class together in the fall, but some parents complained and wanted their kids to move right after their birthday. So now they are doing it that way. Hailey really didn't want to move to a different class. When we told her she was going to, she said that she didn't want to leave her friends. She just started getting used to her class and teachers. And she always talks about her two friends, Trinity and Abigail. She had just finally started getting excited about going to her Sunday School class and seeing her friends. And she hasn't even spent a full year in the three year old class since they didn't move her from the nursery until August. My mom is the kindergarten Sunday School teacher and she says that alot of kids in her class don't want to switch to the next class because they want to stay with their friends too. It was nice before cause they would have a party for the kids on the last day and then all switch together, so it wasn't much different for the kids other than they would have a new teacher. With the way they do it right now, Hailey will be going into the kindergarten class almost a whole year early cause of when her birthday is. They should have just changed the signs on the doors to "3 & 4 year old preschool" and "4 & 5 year old preschool". Then the parents that complained would be happy cause it wouldn't look like their kids were staying behind. But there isn't much we can do about it now though. Hailey did good in her new class except Bruce just had to stay back with her. The teacher said that one of us could stay with her until she gets comfortable with her new class. Hopefully it will only take a few weeks. She was really excited to tell me about her new class after church was over. But when one of the teachers asked her if she liked it, she said that there were no friends in her new class. She seemed like she did enjoy the class but really missed her friends. After church, we stopped at the carpet store to look at carpet for the living room. Bruce found a good deal at the builder show yesterday. The kids had fun playing in the playroom while we looked at carpet. We found some we liked and set up an appointment for them to install it. Then we stopped and picked up a pizza to take home for lunch. When we got home, Vikki called and was going to send Hailey and Max a package in the mail, but decided to just come over and put it in the mailbox herself so they could get it today. So after Max woke up from his nap, I asked the kids if they wanted to get the mail with me. They always love to help us get the mail and they get so excited even when we just give them the junk mail. Hailey always asks "Is there any mail for me today?" She loves to pretend to fill out the forms. She checks the boxes or writes little lines and circles on the lines pretending to answer the questions. Then she puts it in the envelope that it came with, writes her name on the front, and tells daddy to mail it in the morning. When she saw the package had her name on it, she got super excited and said "This is for me!" I gave them each their package and they ran and sat on the floor right away to open it. They were so excited. Hailey got a giant pen and Max got some matchbox cars. Hailey ran and got some paper to write on and said "It's a really huge pen and it really works!" Max carried his cars around the rest of the night.

Im glad they were so happy with there mail/packages. That pen looks sooooo big on here. I mean I know its big but we have only seen us and Kenzie hold it. It looks so much bigger when Hailey holds it. But anyway I cant wait to do this again, it seams like they really enjoyed it.

You can sure see the excitement on their faces. I can't believe how big the pen looks and that she is actually writing with it. That was sweet of Aunt Vikki.
