Max playing Peek-a-Boo with Hailey

This morning Max kept trying to climp up on the table in front of the living room window. He knows he's not supposed to get up there, so everytime he saw me coming toward him he would put his leg back down, point out the window, and say "I just lookin at all da no (snow). Tee all da no, Mommy?" Then as soon as I turned around to walk away, his leg would be back up on the table ready to climb up again. I was getting tired of repeatedly telling him to get down from the tables, so to distract him I quick told him to pretend he was an airplane. He ran around the living room with his arms out and Hailey soon joined him. They were both laughing so hard and having so much fun. Then I asked them to pretend to be other things or animals and they loved it. We played that for a while and then daddy got down on the floor pretending to be a Meijer horse. The kids would come to me asking me for a penny, so I would pretend to give them one. Then they would run back to daddy and climb up on his back and pretend to put the penny in. He rocked back and forth and had them both laughing. Then I pretended to give them a quarter and told them to see what he'll do for a quarter. When they pretended to put the quarter in, he went faster and gave them a much crazier ride. That got them laughing even harder. It was so funny to watch. After that they kept coming back to me asking for more "quarters". Max started throwing a little tantrum during lunch today cause his cup kept getting dirty whenever he touched it with his dirty hands. Hailey looked at him while he was screaming and said "He is throwing a fip (fit)." At first he just whined saying "Mine hands all dirty. Mine cup all dirty. Mine highchair all dirty." But after a few times of taking bites, getting all dirty, and getting cleaned up just to get dirty all over again, he had a melt down. He hates to get dirty and we were eating sloppy joes, which is impossible for a kid to eat without getting dirty. He was also very tired and ready for a nap which didn't help the situation. But after a few tries of me helping him take some bites and him saying no cause he wants to do everything himself, he finally let me help him and calmed down. After Max woke up from his nap, I started moving all the smaller things out of the living room to get it started so Bruce wouldn't have so much stuff to move tomorrow. Hailey supriesed me and had moved all the bigger toys (the dollhouse, block wagon, rocking horse, and their chairs) off the carpet and had them all lined up neatly in a corner against the wall. She said "See how clean the floor is now? Daddy will be so suprised when he gets home." She is very excited about staying at Nana's house for a few days. (The kids and I will be spending a couple nights there while they move the furniture out and put the carpet in.)
