This morning, we took the kids over to my mom's house so she could watch them while I went to my doctor appointment. They were so excited to go play at Nana's. After my appointment, we visited for a little bit and then had to get home so Bruce could get ready for work. I got the kids down for naps right when we got home. They both took long naps, and Hailey didn't even want to wake up. Max was in a really good mood when he woke up. He came up to me while he was playing and gave me a kiss saying "I wuv you mommy." Then he went over and gave Hailey a kiss and hug too. While he was playing with his tractors, Hailey picked up one he had been playing with but had just set it down for a minute. He screamed when he saw her take it, so she gave it back to him. Then he went over and got another tractor and brought it over and gave it to Hailey saying "Here Hayee. Hayee want a tractor too." She smiled and started playing tractors with him. Later, the kids were coloring and Hailey made a picture and gave it to me. She said "This is for the baby. She can even wreck it if she wants. Cause that's what babies like to do." Then she made another one for Max. She scrunched it up as she handed it to him saying "Here Max, this is for you. See, you can wreck it if you want." He took it and started scrunching it just like she showed him. Then she smiled and said "Max still likes to wreck things too." As I was reading Hailey her Bible tonight, after reading about the Prodical Son, she said "I don't want you to give me any money when I get big. I just want to always stay with you cause I love you."

It was a freezing cold day out today. The schools were all even closed around here. Bruce got a fire going in the wood stove right away this morning. For lunch, bruce made pizza with his homemaid sauce. The kids each got to help make their own pizza. Hailey was really getting into it. She loved spreading out the dough onto the pan. She even wanted to throw it up into the air like she saw on TV, so Bruce helped her do it. She thought that was fun. Then they put on the sauce and added all the toppings. While Max was adding toppings to his pizza, he tasted a green pepper. He made a face at first but then laughed and started eating more. He loved them and ate the rest that was in the bowl. Then he tried an onion which he kept spitting out but would put it back in trying it again and again. He also tried a mushroom but didn't like that and made a funny face. He spit it out saying "Dat awky. I don't wike it." We turned the oven light on and they liked watching the pizzas cooking. Hailey kept running over to check on them. The pizzas turned out really good. Bruce always makes the best pizza sauce. He also made whole wheat dough instead on regular, and it was really good. Hailey really liked her pizza. She kept saying "I made good pizza." Max didn't eat much of his pizza. Maybe he just filled up on to many toppings and wasn't that hungry anymore. Our heater stopped working on and off today. After Bruce left for work and the fire went out, it kept getting down to 63 in the house. When I was putting Max down for his nap, he said "I cold. Wrap me up, Mommy." So I wrapped his blankie around him and he said "I peel better, Mommy." Hailey and I layed down for a rest too, but didn't go to sleep. Max only slept for an hour and woke up cold cause the heater had stopped again. I tried dressing him warm, but he kept taking off his pants and socks. Then he cried and pulled at his shirt cause he wanted that off too. So all he would keep on was his undershirt. I turned on some music for the kids to dance so they would stay warmer. Later this evening, Hailey asked if we could have a pajama party, so we all got our pajamas and robes on. We also got out their sleeping bags and spread them out in the living room. Then we each grabbed a flashlight and turned off all the lights in the house. We had fun cuddling on the floor in the living room shining our flashights on the walls and ceiling. We did that until it was time to go to bed. While I was rocking Max tonight, Hailey started crying out in the living room. Max heard her and said "Hayee hurt herself. Don't cry Hayee. It ok." She was really just crying cause her robe had come untied and she couldn't get it to stay closed so she was cold. But it was sweet how Max was trying to make her feel better. Hailey was up pretty late tonight cause she wanted to take a warm bath and then I had to call Bruce a few times about the heater. She was very tired and fell asleep right away. She even told me to go out cause she wanted to go to sleep now. Usually she asks me to stay for a little bit after I turn out the lights. It sure got cold in the house a few times, but Bruce fixed it when he came home and got it working again.

We took Hailey to her four year well check today. She was so good and did everything the nurses and doctor asked her to do. She thought the games for the eye test and the hearing test were fun. When the doctor came in, she walked right up to him and let him help her up onto the table. She tallked to him the whole time and even started singing and clapping while she was up onthe table as he was writing in his chart right next to her. He said that she was very sociable. He had her draw some shapes on the paper on the table so he could check her fine motor skills. She did really good with that too. He was very impressed with how well she is doing, not having any of the common problems that usually affect kids with tethered cords. She had to get four shots which she cried for, but was happy right afterwards when the nurse took her to go pick out stickers and a pencil for being so good. On our way out Hailey and Max both ran to the sucker basket and picked out a sucker. When we got home, Bruce took the kids over to the neighbors to paly with their dog for a little bit. Hailey saw Nova laying on the porch when we pulled in the driveway and said "Nova looks sad. I think she wants us to come play with her." Hailey made another huge tent while I was putting Max down for a nap. She played in it with her dolls the whole time until he woke up. We had chili with added veggies for dinner, and the kids loved it. After dinner, the kids played together in the tent. Max was being silly making Hailey laugh. He would make funny noises and then start laughing really hard, harder than I have ever heard him laugh. It was funny to hear them both laughing so hard together. They pretty much played in the tent the rest of the evening until bedtime.

This is the big tent that Hailey made herself.

Bruce got up with the kids and let me sleep in this morning. We all cuddled on the couch and watched the Cars movie when I woke up. Then Hailey got every blanket she could find around the house and made a huge tent. I only helped her put one blanket way up on top and she did the rest all by herself. She was very proud of herself when she was done with it. Bruce took the kids outsde to play before he had to leave for work. Max took a long nap today. Hailey played with her dollhouse while I got caught up on laundry. After dinner, I got the dressup box out and the kids played dressup till bedtime. Hailey put a hat, sunglasses, and a watch on Max, and then she got all dressed up in a dress, hat, and necklaces. Then they had me turn on some music for them to dance. Tonight, Hailey sat in the rocking chair and read some books to Max. He sat up by her with his blankie while she read to him.

After lunch today, my mom picked the kids and I up and we went with my sisters and their families to the snow festival again. We wanted to see the sculptures now that they are all finished. We had a nice time walking around and looking at them all. Max remembered where Bob the Builder was from when we went the other night. He pointed over toward wear he was and said "Oh, Bob da Builder over dere. I go see Bob da Builder!" There was a crowd of people around it and we couldn't get close enough to see it though. I was suprised that he remembered where it was . The kids all were excited when they saw Clifford walking around. We took them up close to say hi to him and also got a picture. They also had a children's area with pony rides and animals to feed. Max ran right over to the fence and started petting the goats right away. They also got to see a zebra and a camel. They had pony rides for only a dollar so we decided to let the kids ride them. Hailey didn't want to at first but Aunt Meme talked her into it. She'll do anything for Aunt Meme. Max was very happy to ride the pony. He started getting excited before he even got on. Kimmy said that Hailey liked it as soon as she put her up on the pony. She was smiling the whole time. As Max was riding, the pony shook it's head and Max started laughing really hard. The pony kept doing it which kept Max laughing most of the ride. We headed back to the van after that cause the kids hands were starting to get cold even with their gloves on. Max fell asleep pretty quickly on the way home. That's the only nap he got all day. When we got home, I got dinner ready while the kids played. Then Hailey and I got on our Webkinz and played that for a while. Then I gave the kids baths before getting them ready for bed.
