HERE ARE SOME ULTRASOUND PICTURES FROM TODAY!!!

IT"S A BOY!!!

We had an appointment with the specialist and had the 3D ultrasound today, and found out pretty quickly that it is a boy. He was very active, moving around the entire time. Kimmy watched the kids at my parent's house during our appointment. Afterwards we brought over some cupcakes that we had made with pink and blue frosting and a non gender specific baby on top. They all had to lick the frosting to find the secret hidden inside, which was a football candy showing that it was a boy. Now we just have to start thinking about boy names. After eating dinner, we headed over to my grandpa's house so Bruce and Jared could put the cab on his tractor. While I was holding Adam, Max leaned toward him and said in a really soft voice "Hi Adam. Hi baby. Hi." It was so sweet. That was the first time he's called him by his name, usually he just calls him baby. Kenzie, Hailey, and Jacob somehow all squeezed into the dog cage together and shut the door. Then Hailey and Kenzie went outside to play on the ice in the driveway while Max and Jacob shared a snack. Hailey was very excited about her new baby brother and talked about it alot tonight while we were getting her ready for bed.

Bruce took the kids outside this morning to play. The neighbor dog came over to play and the kids loved chasing her and climbing the snowhill with her. Max really liked wrestling her. He would get laughing so hard when she would jump off the hill, sometimes even jumping right over him. Hailey liked throwing snowballs for her so she could catch them. Nova is such a good dog and is great with the kids. She lets Max climb all over her. She is great with Champ too. In the summertime, her and Champ will run around the yard together. While Max took a nap, Bruce took Hailey to the Salvation Army to pick out some things to put in her box. The other day when we went to the store, she found a box and wanted it so bad. She said she needed it to make a cool thing like Kenzie did. Kenzie had a school project that she had to do a while ago and made a box showing the water cycle. Hailey said "I gotta do one too so I can learn things." So we let her take it home and daddy told her he would take her to the store to find some things to make something with it on his next day off. She was so excited about getting to do that today. When they got home she emptied out her bag and showed me all the things she bought for her project. Then her and daddy sat at the table and started working on it. Everything she did was her own idea, daddy just helped her. She loved painting all the little wooden hearts. She worked on her project for over an hour, and was very proud of it when it was finished.

When I got Max dressed in some overalls today this morning, he said "I da donut nan." The Donut Man, who is a Christian children's entertainer, always wears overalls. So Max said that over and over all day. We stopped at my parent's house to visit, but they weren't home. So then we went over to my grandpa's house to visit with him for a while. Grandpa has been feeling much better since the doctor took him off some of his medicines. We had a nice visit with him. We stopped and got subs for lunch on the way home. Bruce is on midnights so he went to bed as soon as we got home. The kids colored in their big coloring books on the floor by me while I folded laundry. Max did great on the potty today. He even goes and gets the stool and gets up by himself. I started giving him stickers to put on a chart whenever he goes on the potty, and he got five stickers today. I gave the kids baths tonight before getting them ready for bed. They were super hyper after getting out of the tub. They ran around for a while and then I started their bedtime routines. I had them both in bed by 8:30.

Max is dipping his crackers in spinich dip which is his favorite. He goes crazy over that spinich dip. He'll stand there like that on his tiptoes until his bowl is empty.

This is the necklace Hailey
made the other day.

I got out the exercise mat for the kids to jump and play on this morning. Max and Hailey had fun doing summersalts on it. They also like to tip it up and make a tent out of it. Then they folded it and used it for a table to play with the blocks on. Hailey also pretends that it's a stage and she'll sing and dance for us on it. It sure gets alot of different uses. I also got out my keyboard yesterday for them to play with. Hailey really likes to play it. She played it all day yesterday and alot today too. While she was playing it, Max kept saying he'll play the drums and then he'll start pounding on the toybox with his hands. He was singing alot today too. He sang the whole songs "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"and "Row Row Row Your Boat", and parts of "Jesus Loves Me"and "I'm So Happy". While Max took his nap, Hailey and I made rice krispy treats. Hailey had dance class this evening. I had to wake Max up to get him ready. Hailey got part of her recital costume today. She got the dress and white gloves but won't get the hat and necklace till next week. She was very excited to get it and couldn't wait to try it on when we got home. It's quite wrinkly right now but will be very cute when I iron it. I also have to add the bows and flowers to it. We stopped at Culver's for icecream after her dance class. I let her dance to one song in her costume before getting ready for bed. She loves all the ruffles and how it's so fluffy. And she liked the white gloves so much, she didn't even want to take them off. Tonight before bed, she asked to talk to the baby, like she does every night, and told the baby all about her pretty new dance dress. She tells the baby about everything. She'll go on and on and on talking about her day or who everyone is and what they look like. She even described snow to the baby the other day. She said "It's alot like dirt but cold and white and you can eat it." She always describes eveything cause she says that the baby doesn't know what anything looks like yet.

Max and Hailey both woke up a little before 8:00, so we sat on the couch and watched Curios George and Clifford together. Bruce got home early since he stayed later yesterday. He got home right after we finished with lunch. Hailey and daddy played with the moon sand while Max took his nap. When Max woke up, we went to the car lot to check out some minivans. We stopped at the carwash on the way. Hailey hated going through the car wash, but Max loved it. He kept reaching out to touch the window. Hailey had a terrified look on her face and sometimes would put her blanket up over her eyes. She also kept begging to go out. She was very happy when she saw the end. We ended up winning a meijers gift card at the car lot. Then we went to Fazoli's for dinner. Max ate a ton and after he got done eating, he said "I peel better, Daddy." Hailey hardly touched her food though. I don't know why she wouldn't eat. She usually likes Fazoli's. When we got home, I got the kids into their pajamas. Max wanted to wear his "num nums" (pajamas with footies). I played the "num num" game with him, and then Hailey brought me her "num nums" which she always calls "Yum yums". When I started to pretend they were going to eat her, she said "Wait Mr. Yum Yum. You can't eat me while I have gum in my mouth cause I might choke if I laugh. But you can just eat my hands if you want." Then after watching Max laughing so hard as we played the "num num" game, Hailey went and spit out her gum and came back saying "Ok Mr. Yum Yum, you can eat me now." It's funny how my kids used to hate those footie pajamas until Kimmy told me how her and Jared call them "num nums" and Jacob loves them. I tried it too and now my kids beg to wear them. Max was so sweet and cuddly tonight while I rocked him. He was giving me lots of kisses. He always plays with my hair while I'm rocking him, and his finger got caught in my hair so he said "I torry Mommy. I don't mean it."

We watched some home videos this morning. Then we played hide and seek. The kids colored for a while before lunch. Hailey wanted to cut and glue, so I got out a magazine for her to cut out some pictures and glue onto a piece of paper. Bruce was late getting home today. He had to go take some classes for work and was supposed to be home around 4:30. We waited and waited and he finally showed up at 6:30. I was beginning to get a little worried. His class had gone over and he didn't have the cell phone with him. But he should be home much earlier tomarrow, around 1:00, since they went so long today. When he got home, we went to Applebees for dinner. Max remembered me making the bugs for him last time and handed me a piece of paper and asked me to make some again. Then he asked me to make a house with the menu like I did before too. Then we had to stop at the store to get diapers. On the way home, we got a mocha and donuts.

Here is a video from yesterday of Hailey measuring. Of course, by the time I got out the camera she decided she was just about done with it.

Max woke up a little early this morning, around 7:30. He asked to put on his choo choo train underwear right away. A few times today, he said "I wanna tee Daddy." Hailey asked a couple times today when he was going to come home too. After lunch, I collected some different things around the house like a cotton ball, sponge, feather, etc. and put then in a basket. Then we played a game with them where we would blind fold the other person while touching them with the item and after they took the blind fold off they would have to guess what it was. Hailey really loved it and was pretty good at guessing each thing. Max didn't want anything to do with the blindfold but loved to feel the different things touching his skin. While Max took a nap, Hailey colored a piece of paper and then cut it up and glued the pieces onto another paper. Then she got out the measuring tape and wanted to measure each piece of paper. She did that for quite a while, also measuring other things around her. Max only slept for about an hour. He wanted to color too when he woke up, so I got out his big train coloring book. Max wore his underwear for a coule hours this evening and didn't have a single accident. He even told me a few times when he had to go potty. Max also didn't dump out all the toy buckets today, just his cars so he could find the ones he wanted. I think he is starting a new climbing phase though. He tried climbing on everything today, the end tables in the living room, the back of the couch, the toy box, and even the changing table. Bruce came home around 8:00 tonight. When the kids heard him come through the door they both ran up to him screaming "Daddy's home! Daddy's home!" They were so excited to see him. Right away Max held his hands up to him and said "Hold me, daddy, hold me."

Here are some pictures of Sebastian and Pele helping Uncle Bruce while he was putting in his mom's countertops. He said they were great helpers. Sebastian especially liked helping. He handed Uncle Bruce the tools when he asked for them and also helped sweep up the mess.
