A FUN DAY AT THE FARM!

We went to church this morning. Hailey did great in her class and even stayed by herself. When we picked her up, she was sitting at the table doing a craft. She looked like she was having fun. Her teacher said she did excelent. After church, while Bruce and I were visiting with people, Hailey saw Abigail and ran up to her and started playing with her. They played for a long time. Max followed behind them trying to keep up while they were walking between all the chairs. We asked Abigail if she would want to come over and play at Hailey's house sometime. Hailey heard us and said "It's fun at my house. You can even play with my dollhouse." We would like to get them together for a playdate sometime. After church, we came home for lunch and then headed over to Kimmy's house to see the new baby chicks. Jacob and Max really loved holding the chicks. Hailey held them once but after it started wiggling in her hands, she just wanted to pet them. Max kept hugging and kissing them. After seeing the chickens, we went over to see Sammy. Hailey and Max loved petting him and feeding him out of their hands. Hailey's is getting much more brave around the horses now. She will even walk right up to him and reach up to pet his head. She used to be scared even when we were holding her by them. Max has never been afraid to pet them. We sat Max up on Sammy's back and he was a little afraid up there though. He kept saying "I all done" but then would start petting him for a minute before saying he was done again. He just wasn't too sure about being up on such a big horse. He really liked seeing the tractor in the barn too. The kids all played outside for a little bit before we headed back inside. Kimmy cut Max's hair when we went in. He did much better this time. He mostly just sat there and played with some of Jacob's cars and tractors at the table the whole time. He just cried a little when she cut around his ears. And a few times he would say "I all done" and want to get down. But then he would just go back to playing when we told him he had to stay. My dad also stopped by to visit on his way home from doing a funeral. When he walked in Max said "Papa, I gettin a haircut". I showed him in the mirror when he was done, and he kept smiling at himself in the mirror and feeling his hair. He looks so cute. Kimmy does such a good job. We had an appointment to go look at a house so Kimmy watched the kids for us while we went. When we got back, the kids were all sitting on the stools at the counter drinking hot chocolate to warm up after going outside to help feed the animals. Max only got a short nap on the way over today, so he ran to Jacob's bedroom and got Jacob's elephant (Max has one just like it and sleeps with it every night). Then he came to me and said "I wanna go night night in da bed" pointing to Adam's crib. He was so tired. He fell asleep on the way home and stayed asleep when I layed him down. Hailey was very excited to tell me all about her fun day today when we did "what to do today" as she calls it. I love how she always says "I wanna do what to do today." She says it so cute. She told me all about her class and playing with Abigail at church and about her fun time at Aunt Meme's house. It sounded like she had the best day ever. She went on and on and on. It was 10:00 by the time we turned out the lights.
(Here are some picutes of Max before and after his haircut.)
