With Bruce taking a sick day and staying home with us last night, I finally got some sleep. Hailey came in bed with me, so I got up with her during the night. Bruce slept out on the couch with the baby monitor and got up with Max during the night. Hailey woke up alot till about 2:30, but after that she slept the rest of the night. So I got about five hours of sleep last night. I feel so much better now that I got some rest. Bruce said Max woke up more than Hailey did, and he would have to bring him out on the couch with him for a while each time. At least Max's croup cough is getting better. We haven't had to take him in the bathroom with the shower running the last two nights now. We just have to calm him down, and he's ok as soon as he stops crying. They both still have fevers, and they are still pretty grumpy most of the day, especilly Max. It seems one of them is crying every few minutes. When we got up this morning, Bruce started taking the cupboards out of the kitchen. As soon as Hailey saw him with the tools, she ran to Max's bedroom and got all his tools out of his toybox. She brought them all out and set them out on the cupboard. Then her and Max "helped" daddy take out the cupboards. They were both so serious and trying to copy everything daddy was doing. It was fun to watch them, and it sure kept them entertained (and happy too) for a long time. That's all they did most of the morning. Our kitchen is now all torn apart on one side, and it's a big mess. We'll just have to deal with the mess for a couple weeks. We'll sure be happy when it's finished though. It was a very nice day again today. When Hailey saw how warm it was she asked if she could go swimming. So Bruce got the pool out and filled it with really warm water. They had so much fun. I can't believe we are getting the pool out still at the end of October. My dad came over and picked up Bruce to go look at some cars with him this evening. My dad's got to drive alot with his new chaplain job, so he's looking for a car that gets good gas mileage. When he got back, I was still working on getting Hailey to bed. I got Max in bed early, a little after 7:30. Then I tried getting Hailey to bed by 8:00, but she was having a hard time falling asleep again. She kept coming out crying till 9:00. When Bruce got home, he went in and gave her a hug and kiss goodnight and she hasn't come out since. I went in and checked on her a few minutes later and she was sound asleep.
