Fun in the leaves.

Max liked to fill up his dump druck with leaves and then dump them out into a pile.

"Oh no! My wheels are stuck!"

Hailey put leaves on every step of the rock wall.
Having fun sliding into a pile of leaves.
Hailey grabbed my camera and took these next few pictures of Max and I.

Hailey and Max loved when I set the self timer on the camera. They started posing right away.

Leaf fight!

Jack fell asleep in his carseat while we were playing.
Max came in and crawled in bed to cuddle with me at 6:00 this morning. I let him cuddle for 15 minutes and then took him back to his bed. Then at around 6:30, Hailey came running into the room excitedly saying "Champ's playing with Candy!" She has seen pictures of my cat, Candy. She's asked where she is and I've told her she's in heaven. She also has been saying "Grandma is so happy. She gets to hold Champ." She is dealing with it very well. She just know's that heaven is a happy place and he's with Jesus now so why should we be sad. She has asked me why I'm sad. Then she tells me "But he's with Jesus and Jesus can hold him. And he can hear and see everything and he's not sore anymore." Then she tells me "You'll get to go to heaven too some day. Then you can hold him again. I want to go to heaven so Jesus can hold me." Children have such wonderful faith. No wonder the Bible tells us to have faith like a child. When Bruce got home from work, we got ready and took Max to get his pictures taken. At first he was acting a little shy, but then started acting silly and gave the lady some good smiles. We picked up some KFC on the way home. Bruce went to bed after we ate lunch, and I took the kids outside to play in the leaves. Jack even liked laying in the leaves. He was smiling alot especially when Hailey threw some leaves up into the air and they all fell down on him. Max loved driving his dump truck through the leaves. He would say "Oh no! My wheels are stuck! Mator gotta pull me out." He laughed when I pretended to be Mator and pulled him out. He also liked filling his dump truck up with leaves and dumping them in a pile. After dumping them, he would get off and jump in his little pile of leaves. He would jump around and laugh and then get back on his dump truck to do it again. Hailey made a pile of leaves in front of the slide so she could slide into them. She also liked thowing leaves down at me from up in her fort. She would laugh so hard as they all fell down on me. I brought out the carseat so I could set Jack down while I played in the leaves with the kids. He fell asleep as soon as I layed him in it. The kids and I had so much fun. Hailey asked to take a picture of Max and I in the leaves. Max didn't want much to do with sitting still for pictures though. Then she asked if we could set the self timer and take one of her and I in the leaves. We set it up on the small slide. I had to set it on the step though so it would be low enough to get us in the leaves. We layed down in the leaves and Max joined us. After it took the picture, we would all run to go see how it turned out. But since the camera was on the slide step, we had to get our heads under the slide to see. We were all laughing so hard as we all tried to squeeze our heads in under the slide as the same time. After looking at the picture, we would push the timer button again and quickly run back to lay in the leaves for another one. After posing for a few pictures, I decided to set the timer to keep taking pictures while we played. We had a leaf fight and threw leaves at each other. Max and Hailey were giggling as they threw a bunch of leaves at me and they all got stuck in my hair. We sure had a good time. We stayed out for a few hours and then came in to have a snack before putting Max down for a very late nap. When I came out from Max's bedroom, Hailey curled up on the couch and fell asleep too. The house sure was quiet with all three kids and Bruce sleeping. We ate a late dinner when they woke up. Max was pushing his truck around with one of his matchbox cars in the back. He got up to go get another one. He put the two side by side in the back of the truck and said "Now I have tons of cars." I gave the kids baths before starting bedtime routines. After playing in the tub for awhile, Max said "My hands are all crunchy." Bruce woke up just as I was starting to get the kids ready for bed.

I love these pictures! I can just picture you three running to fit your head under the slide to see the pictures. Too funny.
