Picking out all the seeds for daddy.

Max trying to look like Jack's pumkin.
Max said he wanted to draw a mouth too.

Trunk or treating.

Max looking at the candle inside his pumpkin.

Daddy showing Jack his pumkin.

Jack got really excited. He was kicking his feet and talking to it.
Max, Jack, and Hailey's pumkins.
At about 6:30 this morning while I was feeding Jack, I heard Hailey and Max walking down the hall toward our bedroom. Hailey whispered "Max, be quiet so we don't wake mommy and daddy." They walked into our bedroom holding hands. Then they spread a blanket out on the floor by our bed and layed down. They were talking and giggling the whole time and we knew they weren't going to fall back asleep laying there together, so we walked them to their rooms and tucked them back into their own beds. A little while later, we heard talking and giggling again. It was now 7:o0, so daddy decided to just get up. When he went to tell the kids they could get up, he found Max in Hailey's bed with her. Hailey said "I told him to be quiet and go to sleep, but he wouldn't. He just kept talking to me." They watched Bob the Builder and Curious George. I was up late with Jack so Bruce let me sleep in. Jack and I woke up at 9:30. After getting ready for the day, we carved our pumkins. Daddy drew different shape eyes, noses, and mouths on pieces of paper and had the kids show him which one they wanted for their pumkins. Hailey said she wanted five teeth for her pumkin (one ended up breaking off), and Max said he wanted three. Max really liked scooping out the pumkin guts and even got his hands dirty without complaining too much. He would reach way down up to his shoulder. Hailey didn't want to get dirty at all. She tried scooping it out but kept dropping the spoon because she didn't want to reach down very far. She did better helping with Jack's little pumkin. She liked picking out the seeds and putting them in a bowl so daddy could bake them. After getting the pumkins carved, we went outside and had a picnic lunch. Hailey had requested hotdogs and a picnic yesterday when she went to the store with daddy. The kids had fun playing on their swings after eating their hotdogs. Max and Jack took a nap at 2:00. I had Hailey lay down for a rest too since she was up so early. She just layed there and didin't fall asleep though. I worked on laundry and then woke them up after an hour so we could get ready to leave. We stopped at the store before heading over to Nana's house. Kimmy and her family met us there so we could all go to Wes and Gayla's church for "Trunk or Treat". (People pass out candy from the trunks of thier cars.) After letting the kids play for a little bit, we got them dressed up in their costumes. They all looked so cute. They all walked around to the cars in the parking lot and got candy. Then we went in the church to warm up while we waited for our turn on the hayride. The kids sure loved the hayride. Max really liked the tractor. It was alot of fun. Nana stayed in the church and held Jack where it was warm. After the hayride, we went back into the church and ate. The food was good and the kids especially liked the cookies. After we were done eating, the kids played some games. They also enjoyed dancing to the music that was playing. They picked a piece of candy to eat when they got out to the van. When we got home, they dumped their candy out to see all they had got. Then I took them to their bedrooms to get their pajamas on. When we came out, daddy had their pumkins lit and all the lights turned off. They were so suprised. Max kept saying "Oooh, is dat my pu-kin?" Jack also enjoyed looking at his pumkin and was really talking to it alot. After getting the kids to bed, I layed Jack down on his acitivity mat to play. He was really twisting and turning and finally rolled himself over from his back to his belly. He looked suprised and happy when he got all the way over and got all excited looking at all the bright colors on the mat.
