When Max woke up this morning, he saw all the new toys and didn't know what to play with first. He just kept going from one thing to the next saying "Oh and Wow" and naming some of the things as he touched them. He was so excited about all the new toys. He did carry his little Tomas the train that Hailey got him as he played with the other toys. He wouldn't put that one down. He also got his Elmo and Barney and his new Elmo flashlight and sat them by him to play with him. When he got his puzzle out he passed out pieces to each of them sayng "Wanna play too?" He is treating the Elmo flashlight like another friend like he does with his Barney and Elmo all the time. I should have taken pictures of that. I didn't think of it till now. I'm sure he'll be doing it tomarrow again though. Hailey was excited to see all the snow this morning. She ran to the window and said "Oh look Mommy, it snowed alot!" We got ready and went to church. Max was singing "Holy, Holy, Holy" during one of the songs. It was so cute. Right before we took him back to his class, Hailey said to me "Max was being quiet in church today. He was a little loud, but he was alots quiet." Usually we end up taking him back to the nursery sooner cause he starts talking too much, but today he hardly talked at all even during communion. He usually starts talking just as it gets quiet. When it was time to go back he was very excited to go play with his friends in the nursery. He even opened the door by himself and ran in while Bruce was filling out his tag. He seemed to have made friends with another little boy. He gets really excited and comes running when he hears Max coming like he had been waiting for him to get there. Hailey did really good in her class too. When we went to pick her up, her teacher told me that Hailey told the class about the baby in mommy's belly. They said that they could tell she is all excited about it. After church, Hailey asked me if she could go see Adam's (a friend in her class) new baby sister. He had told the class about his new sister. So I took her over to see the baby. She loved petting her head and holding her hand. She also played with Adam's baby brother, who is still under a year old. She was getting big smiles from him and didn't want to stop playing with him. Even Max liked seeing the babies. He was standing on his tippy toes to see the baby in the stroller and he was very gentle when he rubbed her arm. When we got home, Bruce put Max's basketball hoop together before he went to bed. He is still on third shift and had a hard time staying awake in church today. He didn't get much sleep yesterday because of the party. Max loved playing with the ball. He carried it around and didn't want to throw it or put it down for awile cause he didn't want Hailey to get it. He held on to it for a long time before finally throwing it in the hoop. I was hoping to get to take the kids outside to play in the snow today, but it started raining right before Max woke up from his nap. I felt bad cause I told Hailey we could go out as soon as Max woke up and she was really looking forward to playing in the snow. They had fun playing inside with all the new birthday toys though. We had some cake and icecream after we ate our dinner. Max sang happy birthday to himself again and pretended to blow the candles. They sure got hyper after that and were running around the house being very loud. Grandma Brenda called to wish Max happy birthday. He sang the Happy Birthday song for her and blew after he finished singing. Then Hailey and Max started running back and forth with the balloons. Max was laughing so hard. He didn't stop till 8:30 when I picked him and decided it was time for bed. It was a half an hour past his bedtime and he didn't want to stop playing. He cried when I picked him up, but was happy when I told him to let the balloons go night night. He said "go night night in sky" and let them go. He watched them float up to the ceiling and said "night night bwoons". Then we read his books and he went to bed really good. Hailey went to sleep fast too. I went back in her room just a few minutes after tucking her in and she was already asleep.
