HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

When we woke up this morning, the ground was covered with snow. Max just stared out the window with an amazed look on his face without saying anything for a while. After a few minutes of just staring out the window, he said "Tree dirty". When Hailey woke up, she came out with a suprised look on her face and ran up to the window all excited when she saw the snow. As we walked out to the van this morning, Hailey showed Max how to eat the snow. They both grabbed a handfull and ate it. We went over to my parents house for thanksgiving. When we got there, Max ran right up to Grandpa and said hi crawling up on his lap. He always gets excited to see Grandpa. It was very hard this year not having Grandma with us, especially when we got out the orange jello desert and chocolate pie which is what she had always made for Thanksgiving as long as I can remember. I miss her so much. We also missed Kimmy and her family. They are in Georgia visiting family there. I was happy to get to talk to her on the phone today though. Since she hasn't been able to watch the video, I put Max on the phone to tell her he's a big brother. She was so suprised and excited. I was so glad I got to tell her instead of waiting till they got home. They won't be back till Sunday. After we ate, the kids begged to go outside to play in the snow. Kenzie and Hailey loved sledding down the small hill. It was Max's first time playing in the snow. Kenzie took him down the hill a couple times too, and he liked it. But he really liked walking around exploring everything. It was pretty cold out, so when they came in Hailey asked Nana for some hot chocolate. Then Hailey asked Max if he wanted a drink and kept giving him sips of hers. It was so cute how she would hold her hand under his chin so he wouldn't drip on his shirt. Later this evening, Charlie and Sue, some friends from church, came over for pie. As soon as Max saw Charlie with his pie, he ran up to him begging for bites. He's so funny how he always begs everyone for food. He really liked Charlie, especially after he shared his pie with him, and kept climbing up on his lap. He would jump from the foot stool and Charlie would catch him. Hailey did it a couple times too. They had so much fun playing with him.
