HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENZIE!!!

Jacob-helping Kenzie blow out candles

Hailey stayed by herself again today in her Sunday School class. She started crying when Bruce took her back, but they said it didn't take long for her to stop and then did really well. The teacher said that she told her all about the birthday party she was going to go to tonight. She said her Bible verse and made up another one from a few weeks ago when we missed. I'm glad she's starting to do better and participate in the class again. She made a picture and was excited to show me when we picked her up. When we went to pick Max up, him and a couple other little boys were kneeling in front of one of the nursery workers while she was reading a book to them. They were all pointing to the pictures and really interested in the book. He didn't even notice us calling him. Another worker went over to him and told him we were there. He just looked at us and then turned back around. We sat and watched for a little bit. They thought it was so funny that he wanted to stay with them. When he finally came over to us, he acted all excited to see us and said "Hi Daddy! Hi Mommy!". We stayed for a few minutes and ate some cookies, and then went home so Bruce could work on the kitchen before Kenzie's birthday party. After lunch, Hailey layed down and fell asleep on the floor in front of the front door. She sure must have been tired. At least they both got a good nap before we had to leave for the party. Kenzie is 10 years old now. The kids had fun helping her blow out her candles and watching her open her gifts. Max liked playing with all the paper on the floor. They also had fun with all the balloons. When Kenzie opened a remote controll jeep, Max and Jacob got excited. Max kept looking in the box at it, and Jacob was jumping up and down he was so excited. They all stood around and watched as Rody worked on getting it out of the box. Max and Jacob were even trying to help take the little ties off. After they got it out, Max crawled into the box. The boys sure liked watching them drive it around. They took it outside and Jacob drove it around on the deck and thought it was so fun. Then Uncle Jared helped Max drive it too. Anytime it would come close to me, Max would say "Watch out, Mommy!" Adam sure is getting big. He is sitting really well now, and he is scooching around on his belly. And he still always has the biggest smiles. When we were getting ready to leave, Jacob asked me for some milk. While I was pouring him some, he brought me the chocolate out of the fridge. He sure knows who to ask. He always asks either me or my mom for chocolate milk. Then the kids all had bananas before we left. They all think nana has better snacks than they do at home. Even if I have the same kind of snack in the diaper bag, Hailey thinks nana's is better. I guess I always thought my grandma's food tasted better too.

Grandma's food was always the best. Yup - Jacob sure knows who the "suckers" are. Just ask Aunt Missy or Nana and they will get you anything you want. HaHaHa. I can't believe Hailey fell asleep like that - she had to be exhausted.

Hey, that's what aunt's and grandma's are for. Besides how can you say no to that? It was so cute how he brought the chocolate and set in on the cupbaord with such a big smile on his face.
