Hailey wearing her "front pack" (a fitted sheet) with her dolls inside.

Playing her "drums".
Checking his wheels.

Fixing his "front fwat wheel".
Max loves to put money in his piggy bank.

Max woke up around 6:00 this morning. Jack was also awake and I was feeding him. Max came and crawled in bed with us. He asked to hold Jack. I told him he was eating. He said "Can I pet him?" So he rubbed his head while I was feeding him. Jack was wide awake the whole time and didn't fall back asleep like he usually does. Max was wide awake and talking the whole time too. I decided to take Max back to his bed hoping he would fall back asleep in there. He didn't. He just layed there talking until about 7:30 when Hailey woke up. They both came walking into our bedroom holding hands. It was so cute. Jack was still awake too. I had him laying in bed with me, and he was very talkative and smiling a bunch. We all went out to the living room. Hailey picked a Barney video to watch. Max sat through half of it and then got up to play with his trucks. Jack was very vocal this morning, especially when Hailey was talking to him. He was getting pretty loud and making a bunch of cute sounds. Hailey tickled him a little bit and he even did a little laugh. After breakfast, I did some laundry while the kids played in Hailey's room. I went in to check on them and they were playing dolls. Hailey was pretending to be the mom. She pointed to Max and said "This is my big baby. He can walk. He's a toddler." She had made a bed for him on her toy box. She put a pillow and some blankets on it and he was laying down pretending to take a nap. Then she asked me if I wanted to hold her "little baby" (her doll). She said "She's zero. She just came out my belly." While I was folding the laundry, Hailey found the fitted sheet and took it to use for her dolls. Whenever I wash fitted sheets, she always gets it before I get a chance to fold it. She loves to use it for her dolls. She somehow wraps it around her and will load it up with a doll and blankets. Sometimes she'll even put two dolls in it. She says it is her "front pack", and she walks around the house carrying her dolls in it. The way she wraps it around her, it kind of does look like a baby sling. It's funny how she put one corner over her head to help it stay on while she's walking around with it. After lunch, I put Max down for a nap and I had Hailey lay down too. After resting for an hour in her bed, I let her get up. We sat at the table and colored. She made some pretty pictures. She is really starting to like to draw different things. She draws flowers, trees, suns, hearts, people, balloons, etc. Max woke up while we were coloring. He climbed up at the table and colored with us. When Jack fell asleep, I turned the baby monitor on and took the kids outside to play. They had fun going down the slide together. They liked showing me different "tricks" and would go down together on their bellies facing each other holding hands, forwards, backwards, upside down, and even sideways. It's amazing how many different ways they can go down. Then Max got out his dump truck and loaded it up with rocks. He would drive it around and then dump them back out into the driveway. Hailey got out some Frisbees and set them up as a drum set. She used a stick and a bat to play the drums. Max checked his wheels on his dump truck and said "I got a front fwat (flat) wheel." He then found a little Frisbee and leaned it up against the wheel and said "I fixin da wheel!" Daddy came home while we were outside playing. He played on the slide with the kids for awhile and then we got ready to leave. He had to mail a package. We went to get donuts and a mocha on the way to the post office. Then we went to the Goodwill stores. We went to Taco Bell for dinner, and the kids danced around to the music that was playing. It was time to get ready for bed by the time we got home. Jack was very talkative again tonight. He didn't even fall asleep until midnight.

Jack's First Laugh

You have to listen closely but he actually does a little laugh for Hailey in this first video. This is the first time he's laughed. He laughed more later on but I didn't catch it on video.

Max loves to fill his dump truck up with rocks. He drives around with them and then backs up to dump them out. After dumping them out, he fills it right back up to do it again. He'll do this again and again for quite awhile.

They love going down the slide together.

Hailey playing the "drums".

She kept adding more and more things. She liked hearing all the different sounds they all made.

Hailey put this belt on her head and said "I'm a indian"

Big brother and little brother.

Hailey drew this picture today. She said that it's "a kid holding a balloon". As she pointed out some things in the picture she said "That's the balloon and those are his hands and feet."

Max woke up around 6:00, right after daddy left for work, and crawled in bed with me. He fell back asleep but woke up when I got up to get ready to take Hailey to school. He cuddled on the couch with me while I fed Jack. Then I woke Hailey up so she could get ready. It was much harder getting ready so quick with Max awake too. Everything takes longer to do with two kids because they start goofing around and get each other laughing. Because they were laughing so much it took Hailey alot longer to eat breakfast. And then she kept getting distracted when getting dressed and her shoes on. We got to the school just on time. Usually I get her there a little early so she can play a little bit before class starts. Max was a little stinker when we got home. He was getting into everything. He pulled all the towels and dishclothes out of the cupboard, the magnets and pictures off the fridge, and the books off his bookshelf. When I picked Hailey up from school, right away she started telling me about her day. She was very excited to tell me about the "seeing" game (vision screening test) they played. She told me how she had to cover one eye and then the other eye and tell them what she saw. When we got home, she wanted to play the "seeing" game with me. She had me cover my eye and pointed to the numbers on the clock asking me to tell her what each one was. Max was very grumpy, so we ate an early lunch so he could take his nap. When daddy got home from work, we all went outside to play. The neighbor lady that lives across the road saw us out playing and came over to visit with us. She brought me a pretty yellow rose from her flower garden. She is such a sweet lady. Her husband recently passed away and all her grandchildren live far away so she gets lonely. We visited with her while the kids played until it started to rain. Then we went inside and started getting ready for bed.

Bruce is on days now so I took the kids to church by myself this morning. I took Max back to the nursery right away instead of keeping him out for praise and worship. As I was walking him back, he said "But do we gotta sing pirst (first)?" I asked him if he wanted to go play with friends in his class. And he said "Wah, I will play in my cwass and den I will sing. I said "You like to sing at church, don't you.", and he replied "Wes, I do." My parents invited us over for lunch after church. While we were there, Wes and Gayla stopped in. We had a nice visit with them. Hailey colored pictures for everyone. Then she cut pieces of paper in half and wrote all of our names on them. She asked me how to spell Wes and Gayla. She went around and passed them out to everyone and asked us all to draw our favorite thing on them. Then she went over to Gayla and asked her to write some different things on a piece of paper for her. First she asked her to draw some hearts. She said "Draw one in each corner, so four hearts." Then she said, "Now can you write LOVE for me? No write my Bible verse, Love one another." We got home around 6:30. Daddy was home and had dinner ready, one of Kimmy's chickens. It was very good. While I was getting Max ready for bed, Hailey asked to help daddy in the kitchen. He was making chicken pop pie for tomorrow. He set her up on the cupboard and let her help put in the ingredients for the crust. Then I came out and told her it was her turn to get ready for bed. She asked if she could please stay up and help daddy. I told her she could if she wanted instead of reading her books tonight. She was very happy that I let her. Then she said "I got to learn how to cook, so I can make nice things for when I want to have a party." She helped daddy spread the dough in the pan and said "Oh, this is the fun part!"

Hailey took these last three pictures.

While I was looking through my pictures, I came across these and I don't remember putting them on. I think I must have taken them on a day I didn't post a blog.

Hailey took these pictures.
Then she called me and said "I took a picture of his boo face."
