Day 4

We had a nice relaxing day today. After the morning classes, we just spent the day at our campsite visiting with Wes and Gayla. And since there was no planned activities this afternoon, after lunch we let the kids spend some time playing on the playgrounds. Max's favorite thing to do was play in the big sandboxes with all the big tractors and dump trucks. Hailey always found friends from her class to play with. Today as she was walking back from the playground with daddy, she saw her little friend from class and ran up to her at her campsite. Hailey asked if she could stay and play. Her mom said she could, so Bruce said she could stay for a half an hour until dinnertime. That was the first time that Hailey went on a playdate without us. She did really good. The mom brought her back after about a half an hour just as Bruce was getting ready to go get her. She said that Hailey was happy and playing really well but just had suddenly started to cry saying she wanted her mommy. I think she was just over tired from staying up so late every night and then getting up so early every morning. She did good though lasting that long when she didn't even know the girls mom. And she sure had fun with the girls that camped right next to us. She would go over there everyday to play with them. They would all play right behind our campsites so we could all see them and keep an eye on them.
