I worked on cleaning the house this morning. The kids had fun playing in their bedrooms and reading books. After Bruce got home from work, we went to the apple barn to get some treats. First we let them play on the little playground there. Then we went in and got some cookies. After eating our cookies, we left to go to the park. Max had fun racing me down the double slide. Hailey really liked the big curly slide. Daddy pushed Hailey and Max on the swings. I got on a swing with Jack, and I think he enjoyed swinging too. The kids also had fun playing in the sand. And they got very dirty. There was a window with a little counter, so Hailey liked playing "restaurant" with daddy. She would ask him what he wanted to order and tell him how it cost. Then she would pretend to cook it for him and hand him a handful of sand. When he asked for a salad, she gave him him some weeds. When daddy pretended to give her some money, she pretended to give him some change back. We were having so much fun at the park, we didn't realize how late it was getting and we hadn't even eaten dinner yet. When we got to the van, it was 7:30. We went to KFC for a late dinner, and then went home to get the kids in bed.
