Max excited about his new tractors

Max peeking at the kitty's down in the basement

We decided to do a day trip and go visit Bruce's parents. Darek and his wife were also visiting with their new baby, so we thought we would go see our new niece. We didn't get going till about 11:30 cause I wasn't feeling well when I woke up. I am still dealing with some morning sickness. Max and I slept most of the way there, but Hailey was too excited to sleep and talked to daddy the whole time. I was suprised she didn't fall asleep cause she woke up in the middle of the night last night and started talking about going to see her grandmas and grandpas so she was wide awake for a couple of hours before falling back asleep. She was very excited about seeing her new baby cousin too. Bruce got to hold baby Haley first, and Max went right up and kissed her on the head. He was very gentle with her and kept petting her head and giving her kisses. Hailey sat on daddy's lap and he helped her hold her for a little bit. She loved holding her and kept petting her head and giving her kisses too. Then she started getting tired and fussy so I took a turn holding her. I walked around with her and she fell right asleep. I held her for a long time while she was sleeping. Hailey kept coming up and cuddling next to me so she could see her and hold her hand. The kids opened their Christmas presents from Grandma Debbie and Papa Ron. Max was very excited when he opened his John Deere tractors. He took it right up to Aunt Jessica and Uncle Darek and asked them to open it. They had to undue all those little ties and it took awhile but he stood and watched patiently the whole time. He would get so excited every time they got a piece out. He also loved the little Tonka trucks he got too. He sat on the floor and played with them right away. Hailey also loved her books and bucket of art supplies. She sat and read her books and went through all the art supplies. Baby Haley woke up and was all smiles. She is such a cutie. Max really liked Uncle Darek. He even crawled up on his lap for a while. This was the first time he's ever seen Uncle Darek cause he's in the army and has been in Iraq. Later, Hailey and Grandma Debbie worked on putting a puzzle together. Hailey loved doing the "big" puzzle. She also liked tracing the numbers with crayon after putting it together. Then we went over to Grandma Brenda and Papa Dan's house to visit. We had pizza for dinner. Hailey wanted to watch a movie with Jessie so the kids all sat on the floor in the living room eating their pizza while they watched "Happy Feet". The kids had fun running around playing with Jessie and her friend Molly. Nonnie came over so we got to visit with her too. We had a really nice time and didn't leave till 9:30. The kids fell asleep right away in the van on the way home. Bruce and I got donuts and popcorn for the trip home. We got home around 12:30 and got the kids in their beds.
