Adam really liked Hailey's Snap N Style dolls. And Max and Jacob had fun playing with trucks on their new town rug.

Jacob resting on Uncle Bruce's back. (I thought it was cute. He layed there like this for quite awhile.
Every time Grandpa opened a present, he would wad up the paper and throw it at my mom.

Singing Christmas carols while waiting for Santa to come.

This morning we got ready and headed over to my parents house. First, my dad prayed and read the Christmas story from the Bible. Then we all sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. The kids sure liked that. After passing out all the gifts, the kids took turns opening first. I set Jack in his Bumbo seat while it was his turn to open and that worked out great. Then the kids played with some of their new toys while us adults took turns opening our gifts. Max and Jacob had fun playing with their new town rug and some cars. Hailey liked playing with her new Snap N Style dolls. Adam also liked Hailey's Snap N Style dolls and enjoyed playing with it too. After we were all done opening gifts, Kimmy and I took the kids downstairs to play in the basement until it was time to eat. After we ate, Nana did the "What God Wants From You" story with the kids. The kids all sat and listened to the story and each took turns opening the "presents (boxes with different pieces to the nativity)". She reads a short story with each box and then the kids add that piece to the nativity scene. It's a really good way to show kids the true meaning of Christmas. Hailey sure looks forward to doing it every year. Max and Jacob were really into it this year too. After that it was time for us to head out of town to go to another Christmas party with Bruce's side of the family. The roads were terrible so it took us a little longer to get there. After only about 15 minutes of driving, Hailey started asking if we were there yet (every few minutes). We finally talked her into trying to fall asleep, but only after promising that we would wake her up when we got close. She fell asleep pretty quickly after that. I knew the kids would be up late so I really wanted Max to fall asleep too. I crawled back and sat by him to rub his head and sing to him for a few minutes. I told him to close his eyes and take a nap in the van. He closed his eyes really tight and kept peeking and smiling at me. It was really cute. He liked having me sit by him. After a few minutes he fell asleep too. But he only slept for about 20 minutes before waking up complaining that he couldn't sleep in the van. His head kept falling. I gave him a couple cars to play with which kept him happy. Hailey woke up feeling car sick. We opened the window to give her some cool air and told her to look out the window which helped her feel better. The kids were so excited when we got there. We got there just on time to see "Santa and Mrs. Clause" show up. We got some snacks and headed down to the basement. All the kids started singing Christmas songs while waiting for Santa to come. Santa handed out gifts to all the kids. Then they took turns getting their pictures taken with him. Max layed on the floor and played with his cars. Drew came over and sat down by him so Max asked him to play cars with him. Hailey went upstairs to play with Delaney and Kenedy. All the kids took turns holding Jack. Jack really liked all the attention from them. We didn't get back to Papa Dan and Grandma Brenda's house until about 10:30. Even though Hailey and Max were really tired after such a long day, they were all wound up because they were so excited to be at Grandma and Papa's house. We let them stay up and watch a Christmas movie. Grandma Brenda asked the kids if they wanted a cookie. Then Max looked up at her and said "You nice." It was really sweet how he said it. We didn't get the kids in bed until midnight. After the kids were asleep, Daddy and Papa Dan put all the presents under the tree.
