Wearing their fish shirts that they painted.

We got up very early this morning, at 6:30, cause we were taking the kids to a fishing contest. Vikki came over and brought donuts. Then we left to go to the park for fishing. Kimmy and her family were already there. Mom and grandpa were too. I got the kids signed in and we got two child size fishing poles for being the first 200 to register. Hailey got a Dora one and Max a Diego one. They were both so happy with their new fishing poles. Jacob, Adam, and Kenzie also got free fishing poles. We set up our chairs by the water and put some worms on the hooks for the kids. They all did a great job fishing. Jacob caught the first fish and then a couple more after that. Max caught one too. It was his first time catching a fish, and he was very proud of himself. Adam caught one and Kenzie caught a bunch too. Hailey didn't catch any but she still had fun and didn't seem to mind too much. I think she was just too impatient cause she would reel it in too soon every time not giving it much of a chance. She'd quickly reel it in as she'd yell "I think I got one!" They all fished until the end of the contest, around 11:00. We took their fish up to get measured. Max's was 5 inches long. He liked watching the guy measure it. They each got to paint a fish on a white t-shirt. Hailey and Max loved painting theirs and were very serious about what colors to use and where they wanted each color. The kids each got a free hot dog lunch too, with a drink and Oreo cookies. My mom brought sandwiches for the rest of us. Max and Jacob played Ring Around the Rosie. They were cute as they would then run around holding hands. Jacob kept coming up to talk to Jack. He sure does love him. Jack would reach his hands out and touch his cheeks. It was so cute. Jack was such a good boy. He was so content sitting in his stroller the whole time while I was helping the kids with the fishing and painting. He took a short nap in the stroller. We gave Jacob and Adam their birthday presents. Hailey and Max were excited to give them to them. Hailey wanted to hand Jacob his, and Max wanted to hand Adam his. They loved the umbrellas and color changing matchbox cars. We got home around 2:00. I put the kids down for naps. They all fell asleep right away, even Hailey. I did some laundry and put away clothes. Daddy got home at 4:30. I had to wake the kids at 5:00, but it took them until 5:30 to come out of their beds. They were all so tired. We went outside after dinner. The new girl next door asked Hailey to come to her birthday party. Hailey was really begging to get to go. We told her we needed to think about it because we really don't know them that well yet. She said "Well if you don't let me it will hurt her feelings." We decided to let her go but told her to stay outside. (Everybody was outside anyway, so we could see her the whole time. It was just family so the girl didn't have any friends over, just a couple boy cousins.) I pushed Max and Jack on the swings. Max saw all the people next door and said "Dey are havin' a famwee (family). But dey don't hab wots of kids. But we do hab lots of kids. Dey onwee hab two kids. (There were only two out at the time besides Hailey). Hailey stayed over for about a half an hour and then they all came over to play on our swingset. Hailey and the girl had alot of fun playing together. Ken came to visit. Jack was very excited to see Nova. Jack fell asleep while I was holding him on the porch swing. It was nice getting to cuddle him for awhile. We let the kids play unilt 9:00. When we asked Hailey if she had fun at her friends house, she said "Yes, but she asked me to come inside to play. I told her no cause my daddy said I have to stay outside." Then she said "She's nice but she said a naughty word. She said stupid so I told her 'no don't say that' but she didn't listen. She did anyway. That's not nice words." I gave the kids quick showers since it was getting late. After the kids were done with their showers, Abby started begging to get in the bathtub. I gave her a bath after the kids were in bed. She was happy and ran around playing after that. I practiced her tricks with her while she played., throwing her ball for a reward each time she did one of them. She is very good at sitting and laying down now. We are still working on shake and roll over.
