This morning, I got the kids ready and packed for a day at the park. We had a play date at the park with my MOPS group. Hailey was excited to get to see some of her friends from school. She was especially excited to see Ally. Ally's mom called and asked if we wanted to have a picnic lunch afterwards. Hailey and Max had alot of fun playing with all the kids. The merry-go-round had water all the way around it. The kids all took off their shoes. A couple of the kids pushed while the rest stuck their feet in the water as it went around. They all got soaked. At first, Max wouldn't take off his shoes. He doesn't really like to go barefoot. He would just jump over the water and onto the merry-go-round. But a kid started pushing it just as he was jumping onto it and he fell in and got his shoes soaked. I then talked him into taking them off to dry. He sure had alot of fun playing with his bare feet in the water after that. One of the boys fell right into the water and got his clothes all wet. Ally's mom and I pushed Jack and Tyler on the swings. Max had fun playing with Luke but also played with some of the other kids. He went up to a little girl that was about the same age as him and said "Do you want to play with me?" They played together on the slide. Jack liked climbing the stairs on the slide with Tyler. Ally's mom brought peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and carrots for lunch, and I brought Yogos for a treat afterwards. As we were leaving, Hailey was very interested to watch Ally ride her bike without training wheels. They rode bikes to the park cause they live just around the corner. When we got home, I put the boys down for their nap. Hailey played with her doll house while she rested in her room. After the boys woke up, I took them outside to play. I pushed them on the swings. The new neighbor girl came over to play. As soon as daddy got home from work, Hailey ran up to him and asked if she could practice riding her bike without the training wheels. Max got his tricycle out, and we all followed down the sidewalk as Hailey rode her bike with the help of daddy. She told him how Ally could ride her bike. She really wants to be able to do it. She asked him to let go and see if she could start off by herself. She kept tipping over. She asked "Why can Ally ride without training wheels and I can't?" She tried and tried. She didn't even want to give up to come in for dinner. We had nachos and tacos for dinner. After dinner we took a walk. I pushed Jack in the stroller while daddy pulled Hailey and Max in the wagon. We stopped at 7/11 for Slurpee's. When we got back it was pj time. Jack sure had fun splashing in the tub. He was splashing so much he got me soaked. He'd splash and then laugh as the water splashed into his face.
