Jack pushes his cars and trucks all around the room. It's so cute how he makes car sounds as he pushes them around.
And he always pushes them ahead and then lays down to push them as far as he can reach before getting up to do it again. He'll keep doing this all the way across the room.
This morning, Hailey played with Jack in his bedroom. She helped him on the rocking horse and he liked that. Then she read some books to him. Max played in the hallway with blocks. He made a train track for his choo choo train. He'd have the tractor push the blocks. He said the tractor was making a road and a building. Jack loves to play with cars and trucks now. He pushes them all around the room making car sounds. He really liked the Little People garbage truck and firetruck cause they were bigger and easier for him to push. We had to go do our grocery shopping and decided to first stop at a church to register Hailey for their vacation Bible school. She is very excited to get to go this year. They showed us around and told us some of the things Hailey will be doing. She liked looking through her bag of goodies when she got to the van. She got a T-shirt, some candy, a clapper, a key chain, and a CD of the music they will be singing. She wanted to listen to the music right away. She asked if she could have just one piece of her candy. She also shared one with Max. We went to McDonald's for lunch but ate it in the van. Hailey didn't want to stop listening to her music, so she didn't even want to get out of the van even though we weren't planning on it since we still had alot of errands to run. At Meijer, Hailey and Max found some pennies in the parking lot and were excited to get to ride the penny horse. Jack liked riding it too. He always gets excited as I take him out of the cart, kicking his feet as we walk up to it. He always reaches his hands out to pet the horses head. Bruce took Hailey with him to one side of the store to get some things, and I took the boys with me to get some things on the other side of the store. Max layed his head down on the bag of diapers and almost fell asleep. He layed there the whole time we were shopping, and even closed his eyes just before we got to the checkout line. Then he sat up and wanted to help put the groceries on. When we got home, the kids played outside for a little while on the porch while daddy unloaded the groceries. I fed Jack and put him down for a late nap. Max whined when I told him he had a few more minutes and then he had to come take a nap. He was riding on his car and kept pretending to crash it. After a few minutes were up, I waited for him to crash his car again, and then I pretended to be an ambulance making siren sounds as I came to get him. I carried him in and layed him in his bed telling him he needed to go to the hospital. He really liked this and then didn't even care that he had to come in to take a nap. It was too late and I was afraid if Hailey took a rest she'd end up falling asleep. And if she fell asleep that late, she wouldn't go to bed good tonight. So I decided to let her stay outside and play. She wanted to ride her scooter up and down the sidewalk so I walked back there with her and watched as she rode down as far as I told her she could go. She was very good about turning around when she got to the pole. The neighbor girl came over and brought a friend too. Hailey sure had fun playing with them. Bruce bought a grill and went to pick it up. He made kabobs and they were so good. Hailey wanted to say the prayer. She prayed "...And help us to like this new food." (She's never seen kabobs before.) Max started talking just as she was about to say Amen. Then she added "And help us to not talk while someone's praying." They both loved the chicken. And they both did a good job trying all the different things. Hailey even tried summer squash and green peppers. Max tried everything but didn't like anything but the broccoli and chicken. Jack tried everything too (except the pineapple cause he can't have it till a year old), and he loved it all. Afterwards they had an apple. I cut up some very small pieces of apple for Jack too. I put a little piece in his mouth and he got very excited as I put more on his tray. Once the kids were in bed, Bruce made cookie dough, and we sat down on the couch to watch some TV while we ate it.
