Sick kids. Hailey and Jack were laying on the couch together.

Then Max crawled up to cuddle.

They spent a whole hour laying like this together on the couch. Hailey ended up falling asleep.

Jack looking out window for daddy

Hailey was laying on the couch reading her book. But a few minutes later, I found her sound asleep with her head under the pillow.

All you could see was her face sticking out, but only from this end of the couch.

From the other side, you wouldn't even know she was under there.

Doing the Easter egg story.

Well, we've all been sick for the last few days with colds. Hailey woke up feeling sick Monday morning. We kept her home from school. On Tuesday she was worse and had a fever all day. She just layed around all day. Bruce and I woke up with sore throats too and Jack was also a little fussy on Tuesday. Last night, Hailey and Jack were both up half the night. Hailey's fever spiked to 104.2 degrees. And Jack cried for twenty minutes straight. Nothing I did helped. So I just layed on the couch with him. I think he finally stopped when the Tylenol kicked in. And even after that, he still cried on and off for another half an hour. Max woke up a couple times saying he didn't feel good and asked for a drink of water. But as soon as I gave him his drink he fell right back asleep. And every time one of the kids woke up, our puppy would start crying thinking that it was time to wake up. So between all of them I only got about two hours total of sleep last night. Hailey was up alot the night before too. (I got about three hours of sleep.) So I was pretty tired today. Bruce had to leave early to go to his class. He is taking classes all week for his new liscence at work. Hailey layed around most of the day again. When Max woke up and saw her laying on the couch, he said "Do Haywee don't feel good?" Then he said "We better not wake her." He kept giving her more blankets and pillows all day. He was acting so concerned for her and was very sweet getting her things and talking so sweetly to her. I asked him how he felt and all day he insisted that he felt good, even though he was laying around on and off throughout the day too. He would only complain right after he woke up, in the morning and after his nap. He would want me to cuddle but after a few minutes he'd be back to playing again. He'd say "No I not sick, onwee (only) Haywee." Jack was still pretty fussy today. He would play for a little bit and then come following behind me crying. He only took a couple very short naps. He was getting very fussy after lunch. I layed him on the couch by Hailey and gave him some juice. That kept him happy for quite awhile. Eventually Max came over to cuddle too. They all layed there like that for about an hour. Hailey ended up falling asleep. Bruce got home around 5:00. I ran to the store to get some more chicken noodle soup for the kids. The only thing they will eat today is yogurt and chicken noodle soup. After eating their soup, Max went to his room to play with his cars. Jack has been crawling all around the house today like he's exploring. He would go to Hailey's room, then to his room, then to the kitchen, and up and down the hallway. He found Max playing in his room. Max called me saying "Jack is getting da cars. He can't eat dem! He will choke! Jack you are too witto. You can't play wif dese." He knows that Jack can't have his matchbox cars so he thought he couldn't have these cars either. After convincing him that Jack could chew on these cars, he said "Jack do you want to play with me? You can hab dese cars." Then he handed him two of the cars to play with. They had alot of fun playing together. Jack was very interested in the sounds Max would make and loved watching him line his cars up. He also loved waching him push the cars down the ramp and seeing them come out underneath. Hailey layed back down on the couch again. She stayed there the rest of the evening. She kept covering her head with pillows and would fall asleep. We could hardly see her under there. We did the Easter egg story with the kids before tucking them in bed tonight. (Every night they each open an egg to find a piece to the story. Then we read them the little story that goes along with what they found in the egg. There are a dozen eggs each leading up to the Resurrection.) This year we decided to start six days before Easter (yesterday) and let the kids each open an egg doing two stories a night. They sure get excited about this. It's something Hailey really looks forward to every year now. (We started when she was three.) Max didn't remember it from last year but he sure was excited about opening his egg tonight.

I think the Easter Egg Story is so wonderful for the kids to do. I'm glad they love it.

Cute how they all lay on the couch together. I never heard the Easter Egg story. Sounds like a fun idea.
