This morning we headed over to my mom's so Vikki could do Hailey's hair for her dress rehearsal. Tomorrow is her dance recital. It takes a couple hours to put all the curls in her hair, so we put a movie in for Hailey to keep her occupied while getting it done. When we put the movie in, Jacob and Max got their blankies and layed down on the floor next to each other in front of the TV. Kimmy came with me to her rehearsal, and mom stayed and watched the boys. We were early but Hailey's group was already going out on stage when wer got there. They told us that rehearsal was at 3:00 but they must have meant that they would be out on stage and ready to start at 3:00. Two helper girls that Hailey has never met before just grabbed her aside and started taking off her clothes and putting her costume on. They really got her ready fast. Then one of the girls told her to come with her and took her running down the hall to get out on stage. We were suprised Hailey went with them and didn't cry with everything happening so fast and not knowing these girls at all. Maybe that was a good thing though cause it didn't give her much time to think about it. She did good going out on stage. Although I could tell she was a little nervous. There was alot of people in the audience. She didn't dance at all except for the last part where they side step off the stage at the end of the song. She smiled like she was really proud of herself as she was side stepping. I think she would have danced if they would have practice one more time, but each group only practiced once. At least she went out on stage though. After her group was done, I met her backstage and got her dressed in her clothes so we could bring her out to watch some of the other groups practice their dances. Hailey seemed to really enjoy watching all the kids dance. We stopped at McDonald's and got milkshakes afterwards. Kimmy took Max home with her tonight. Jared is going to stay home and watch the boys while we are at the recital tomorrow. Hailey asked why she couldn't go spend the night at Aunt Meme's. I told her that we would go home and play a game. Then she got all excited saying she was going to have special time with mommy. I took her outside to play on the swings for a few minutes before we left. When we got home, she told me to go get my pajamas on and then told me to stay out of her bedroom cause she wanted to suprise me. She came out with her pajamas on and said "We're going to have a pajama party!" We played "Pretty Pretty Princess". Bruce called while we were playing our game. I handed her the phone to talk to daddy, but she didn't want to talk very long cause she wanted to get back to our game. We also read extra books and cuddled on the couch talking much longer than usual. She really enjoyed our time together. She even said she wants Max to spend the night at Nana's or Aunt Meme's again so she can have more special time with mommy.
