I took the kids outside to play this morning. They had fun riding their bikes and cars around the back patio. Bruce mowed the lawn and then we went to Toys R Us to get Max a toddler bed. After that, we went to Grandpa's house. The kids and I visited while Bruce mowed and did the trimming. After he was done with the yard, I took the kids outside to play while Bruce tilled the garden. We had brought their bikes to ride on, and they had so much fun riding them up and down the long driveway. It was very hot and humid today, so we stopped at McDonald's for some milkshakes. When we got home, we had to quick get Hailey ready for her dance class. She did great again today. On our way home from dance class, my mom called and asked if we wanted to meet them for icecream. We met them there and we all got concrete mixers. We ran into our family doctor on our way out. She told us that there was just a tornado only about 3 miles from our house. She was driving when it hit and said there were trees falling all over the place. She had taken pictures with her cell phone and showed us the damage. It was terrible. Trees were down everywhere and some had fallen on top of cars and houses. Also a roof was blown off a building. Everything at our house was fine, wouldn't even know anything had happened. We got home too late to set up Max's new bed so we'll probably do that tomorrow. We put the mattress down on the floor and the kids had fun climbing and jumping on it. While I was getting Max ready for bed, he told me he got a new room (he calls his crib his room). He seemed excited about it but when I asked him if he wanted to sleep in a big bed like Hailey, he said "No I don't want to. I wanna teep in mine room, right dere (pointing to his crib)." Hopefully he'll like it once he sees it set up and won't be to upset about us taking down his crib. We want to do it before the baby comes so he doesn't blame the baby for taking his crib. So we are taking the crib out of the room until the baby comes and hopefully by then, he'll have adjusted to sleeping the his new bed and won't get jealous. The baby will be in our bedroom for the first few months too, so we won't be in any hurry to put it back in until he's used to his new bed.

I love how Hailey is looking at Max in that first picture.
