This started out as their "boat" and then turned into their "garbage truck". Max is using the steering wheel on his firetruck book to drive it. They sure had alot of stuff piled in it.

Jack and Max woke up early this morning, Jack around 6:30 and Max around 7:00. I wasn't feeling well so Bruce got up with them. Hailey, Jack and I all have fevers and also still have colds that we've had for almost a week now. I got up around 8:00 and felt better after taking some Motrin. We kept Hailey home from school since she was still sick. When she woke up, I gave her some Tylenol and she layed on the couch while watching Clifford. After that was over she started feeling much better. After I got all the laundry folded and put away, Hailey and Max climbed in the laundry basket. I put Jack in with them and pushed them around the house. Then Hailey and Max played "house" and then "boat" together. They like to pretend that the couch is a boat. They got a bunch of stuffed animals and dolls and put them all on the boat with them. Max used the steering wheel on his firetruck book to drive it. At one point though their "boat" turned into a "garbage truck". They just kept piling things up with them until they had so much stuff that there was hardly any room for them. They'd pretend to drive around picking up garbage. Then Max would say "Dump!" and they'd both push everything off the couch and then start all over again. They played that the rest of the morning until lunchtime. Bruce went over to help the neighbors with their computer. I used the leftover filling and made some more chicken cigars for lunch. After we had lunch, I put Max and Jack down for their naps. Then Hailey helped me make brownies with spinach and carrot purees. I had Bruce distract her while I added the veggies though. She sat at the table and helped daddy pour the brown sugar into the canister. He gave her a little bit to eat and so I was easily able to sneak in the veggies without her knowing. When Max woke up, we sat at the table and colored pictures for each other while daddy cooked dinner. Jack woke up so I went and gave him his pacifier and turned on his mobile to keep him happy while I got his dinner ready. While I was mixing his cereal, he started crying again. Max ran into his room and reached into the crib, petting him saying "Hi Jack, it's OK." Then he ran out to me saying "Mommy, Jack's crying. Feed him his food. He hungry. Feed him dat. OK, mommy?" He felt so bad for him. It was so sweet. Hailey layed on the couch again saying she didn't feel well. She felt really warm again so I gave her some more Tylenol. After lyaing down for about a half an hour and almost falling asleep, she started feeling better and came to the table to eat dinner with us. Jack sat in his highchair while we ate. It's so funny cause Jack just laughs at the kids while they are eating even when they aren't trying to make him laugh. Maybe just to get their attention because then they start being silly for him and he really gets laughing hard. It is just too funny. We had the brownies for desert. They were good. You couldn't taste the spinach and carrots in them. But they were more like cake so Hailey wasn't too crazy about them. She doesn't like cake at all. She asked why we made different ones but still took a few bites. Max loved them and ate two. Then we went to the store to return a couple things and then stopped at Circuit City. As soon as we got home, we started bedtime routines.
